Training and further training in anthroposophical therapies

In Anthroposophic Medicine, the following therapies are used – alongside medical, nursing and medicinal treatment – within the framework of integrative patient treatment: body therapy, eurythmy therapy, art therapy and psychotherapy. They are offered in anthroposophical training or further training courses in many countries and the training institutions are accredited by the Medical Section at the Goetheanum. In addition, there are contacts on the part of the training courses to the specific professional associations, specialist organisations or also to state approval institutes.

In March 2023, the WHO Benchmarks for Training in Anthroposophic Medicine entered into force. The publication of these Benchmarks, drawn up by the Medical Section and the International Federation of Anthroposophic Medical Associations (IVAA), reflects the current position of anthroposophical training courses and their requirements, which are being implemented worldwide.
