Anthromedics

Anthromedics is an online specialist portal for Anthroposophic Medicine that provides articles for physicians, nurses and therapists in practices, hospitals and training programmes.

The specialist portal includes a digital archive – "Merkurstab Online" – as well as a digital textbook – "Practice Recommendations" and "Basic Concepts" – and has a search function with various filters.

The digital textbook offers systematic access to the anthroposophical image of the human being in medicine and understanding of disease, to specialties, clinical pictures, therapeutic recommendations and current key topics of Anthroposophic Medicine.

Its contributions are written by experts from the fields of practice, teaching and research, and include in part numerous references for further reading, which enable in-depth exploration of the respective topic.

The "Practice Recommendations" section contains the results of the work of the Medical Section's interprofessional CARE groups on the topics of pregnancy, birth and early childhood, infectious diseases, mental illness, oncology, and palliative medicine.

The freely available contributions in "Practice Recommendations" and "Basic Concepts" are offered in German, English and Spanish.

The specialised portal is continuously extended and updated.

Anthromedics is published by the Medical Section of the School of Spiritual Science in Dornach, Switzerland, and the Association of Anthroposophic Physicians in Germany (GAÄD).

The editorial work takes place in Berlin and Dornach.

The Dornach editorial team is responsible for the texts in the Practical Recommendations and Basic Concepts sections and consists of specialist editors, a proofreader, translators and the Editorial Board, on which physicians and therapists are represented.
